In short: About the impression of Singapore and performing there, and about their aims of this year.

Notes

1. "BABYMETAL" is pronounced not "beibimetl" but "bebimetl". The MC is wrong.
2. Nippon Budokan is a hall for martial arts in Tokyo (build for judo of Tokyo Olympic 1964). Since the Beatles performed here in 1966, it has also become famous as concert venue having capacity of about 10,000.
3. In this interview BABYMETAL use many "kudasaru" (a polite form of "kureru"), and I translate them to "kindly". When used alone, it means "to give me/us", but when attached other verb, it shows the perceiving of other's favor and the gratitude to it (such as "for me/us"). A Japanese sentence lacking this sounds like "... but I don't care what you do."
4. If you make and sell some BABYMETAL goods without the permission of Amuse Inc., it may sue you for violation of copyright, publicity right, or else.
5. (Hainanese) chicken rice is a Chinese-origin dish popular in some Southeast Asia countries. There is another "chicken rice" in Japan.
6. BABYMETAL has performed in Singapore 3 times: 2012 Nov. (AFA), 2013 Nov. (AFA), 2013 Dec.
7. Of 30 performances that BABYMETAL did in 2013, 3 in Osaka, 1 in Hokkaido, 1 in Shiga, 1 in Jakarta, 2 in Singapore, and the rest are done in Tokyo metropolitan area.

[i] BABYMETAL's Kakizome

"書き初め" (kakizome) is new-year's first writing with writing brush. Recently some write their hopes or aims as kakizome. On Jan. 7th I found this photo by chance. It seems to have been captured from the movie in BABYMETAL APOCALYPSE WEB, but the movie seems to have been deleted soon.

Miss YUIMETAL: "Kookai shinai, zettai." = I won't regret. Never.

Miss SU-METAL: "Jibun o shinjiru." = I believe in myself.

Miss MOAMETAL: "Ichion nyuukon" = Putting whole my soul into every one note.

This is an adaptation of "一球入魂" (ikkyuu nyuukon), the word of a Japanese baseball coach in the past who associated baseball with education and budo (= Japanese martial arts). By this word he meant something like "You should do your best every time as if it was the last pitch/swing in your life."

it is the story "the birth" that begins from the ZERO
and "the end" that goes to the ZERO
start to move simultaneously beyond time and space.
To fulfill the mission of "Metal Resistance",
BABYMETAL have got the new life.

and the jet black darkness comes to the world, all shall end."
Until the day prophesied in the apocalypse,
there remains little time.

These were the prologues for the encores in the concerts 'Legend "I"', "D", "Z", narrated with a series of painted pictures projected on the screen.

Prologue for Encore   in Legend "I"

"The Metal Resistance", the war against the big power "Idols",
has been long drawn out.
BABYMETAL resisted by wearing the corset to train for headbanging,
and by doing mosh'sh for the moment.
But "Idols" brought in new members if some members left,
ruled the regions by organizing the branches in various places,
and thus have extended their power in succession.
Considering this situation and to give BABYMETAL more power, the Fox God
sends down, as divine messengers, the strongest metal band playing the explosive roar...
The band consists of the gods, the gods of guitar, the god of bass and the god of drums.
It is the special band of the brave metallers formed for BABYMETAL.
Accompanied with this band, BABYMETAL will engage in further sacred battles.

Prologue for Encore   in Legend "D"

In A-KIBA, the sacred place for the big power "Idols",
YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL were captured.
Snake suspected them of being the leaders of "the Metal Resistance",
and interrogated them persistently to disclose their identity.
"Are you really the idols?"
"After all, we are the idols...
...DEATH!"
Oops! Their usual habit exposed that they are the metallers.
"Idols DEATH!? What a desecration!! I Condemn!! I Condemn!!"
At last they were to hang up, blamed for treason to the idols.
To save their young lives, SU-METAL stood up.
In the depth of her heart, the song was resounding that the Fox God had told her.
In the special night of fifteen, with legendary black long hair disordered around and gorgeously,
a girl fought bravely. It is her song.

Prologue for Encore   in Legend "Z"

Metal Resistance.
It is the holy war.
For the upcoming Armageddon, BABYMETAL
were going toward "the Hill of Flying V", the field for the final sacred battle.
The Fox God, presiding over the metal gods, to prepare for the final sacred battle,
sent the gods of guitar,
the god of bass,
and the god of drums
to form the strongest metal band,
and gave BABYMETAL the further power.
The time remaining is very short.
The descent of the god is never "permanent".
Finally the last chapter of the holy war begins.

YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL fell to the darkside.
To get the metal spirits back to them, SU-METAL stood up alone.
The metal spirit became the crimson flame and enveloped SU-METAL.
And SU-METAL has changed into the Crimson Knightess.
The crimson flame burns in the jet black darkness.
Tonight SU-METAL's beat of life trembles the world.

Prologue for "AKATSUKI"   in Legend "Z"

SU-METAL was starting to notice
another self which exists in her mind.
By the power given from "the Fox God", the God of Metal,
SU-METAL was kept within the human level,
but she was getting back her true self.
Breaking the spell put by humankind,
she was changing into the entity beyond the humanity near to the divinity.
Being beyond time and space,
SU-METAL's beat of life dyes the sky "crimson".
