[REDNIQS '15 Sep. 21]

This is a part of a radio program "REDNIQS" broadcast by FM802 on 2015 Sep. 21st. The interview was recorded on 2015 Sep. 17th. The audio source is what a BABYMETAL fan in Osaka airchecked and kindly uploaded on the internet.

I am sorry if I've mistaken the voices of SU-METAL, YUIMETAL & MOAMETAL. The words enclosed with parentheses "(***)" are what I've inserted as supplement. I'm not sure whether the words with parentheses & a question mark "(***?)" should be inserted or not.

Notes

  1. This Japan tour includes 8+2 concerts: on Sep. 16th & 17th at Zepp Namba (Osaka), on Sep. 21st at Zepp Sapporo, on Oct. 2nd at Zepp Fukuoka, on Oct. 7th & 8th at Zepp Nagoya, on Oct. 15th & 16th at Zepp DiverCity (Tokyo), plus on Dec. 12th & 13th at Yokohama Arena. The interview was recorded before 17th's concert and broadcast after 21st's concert.
        Zepp *** are a group of music halls in Japan (capacity: 2000-2500). These halls have the same stage equipment, etc., and it's convenient for musicians to hold their "Zepp tour".
  2. Actually, BABYMETAL have performed in Osaka more than twice before: in 2012 Jul. & in 2013 Jan. (the release events of CD singles), in 2013 May (May Revolution Tour), and in 2013, 2014 & 2015 Aug (SummerSonic Festival).
  3. In the middle of "Megitsune", SU-METAL holds a fox mask and then throw it away. If they perform on an open-air stage, the wind sometimes blows the mask back, and unfortunately it hits MOAMETAL.
  4. MOAMETAL's expressions are ambiguous. As she said before, shoe trouble often happened in the past, but it is unclear whether it often happens even now or not.
  5. Actually, there are many famous Metal musicians whom BABYMETAL haven't met yet. Probably that slim man has repeatedly said "I want a photo of Iron Maiden", so they remember that name.
  6. Fukuoka is the largest city in Kyushu Island.
  7. Hakata is the old town area of Fukuoka City.
        Ramen is a noodle dish (of Chinese origin) popular in Japan. Many regions have their own ramen, and Hakata ramen is characterized by pork-born broth, etc.

  The transcription (.srt file) is below.

1
00:00:00,400 --> 00:00:02,500
[mc] You've listened to "IINE!" by BABYMETAL.

2
00:00:02,600 --> 00:00:05,700
[mc] Hiroaki ASAI is bringing you
REDNIQS from FM802.

3
00:00:05,800 --> 00:00:09,000
[mc] Now we have these guests:

4
00:00:09,500 --> 00:00:10,800
[su] I'm SU-METAL.

5
00:00:10,900 --> 00:00:11,900
[yui] I'm YUIMETAL.

6
00:00:12,000 --> 00:00:13,000
[moa] I'm MOAMETAL.

7
00:00:13,100 --> 00:00:13,900
[su] We are...

8
00:00:14,000 --> 00:00:15,300
[bm] BABYMETAL.

9
00:00:15,400 --> 00:00:16,000
[mc] Yeaaah.

10
00:00:16,100 --> 00:00:18,700
[bm] We beg your kindness.
[mc] It's been a long time. I beg your kindness.

11
00:00:18,800 --> 00:00:21,900
[mc] Do you remember
you've come to this studio before?

12
00:00:22,000 --> 00:00:23,900
[su] Yes.  I remember.
[yui] Sure. [moa] Yes. It's nostalgic.

13
00:00:24,000 --> 00:00:25,900
[mc] It was about two years and eight months ago.

14
00:00:26,000 --> 00:00:27,600
[moa][yui] I wonder it's been such a long time.
[su] Oh, so long ago.

15
00:00:27,700 --> 00:00:31,200
[mc] Really so.
Thank you for coming after a long interval.

16
00:00:31,300 --> 00:00:32,900
[bm] Thank you (for inviting us).

17
00:00:33,000 --> 00:00:36,400
[mc] Well, we've asked you to come
in the middle of your concert tour. *1

18
00:00:36,500 --> 00:00:39,000
[mc] How is this concert tour? I think
this is your domestic tour after a long interval.

19
00:00:39,100 --> 00:00:41,200
[moa] Well...  No.
This is our first domestic tour.

20
00:00:41,300 --> 00:00:43,400
[mc] Ah, yes, of course.
Though you've performed in Osaka before...

21
00:00:43,500 --> 00:00:46,900
[yui] Yes.  [su] Yes.
[moa] We've performed in Osaka twice before, *2

22
00:00:47,000 --> 00:00:51,500
but we haven't held a Japan tour before,

23
00:00:51,600 --> 00:00:55,500
so we wonder how it is going to be.

24
00:00:55,600 --> 00:01:03,400
[moa] And, performing this time, I really felt
many of Osaka audience are our new fans,

25
00:01:03,500 --> 00:01:07,700
so I hoped we would make
the BABYMETAL sensation from now.

26
00:01:07,800 --> 00:01:08,900
[mc] You've already made it.

27
00:01:09,000 --> 00:01:09,900
[su] No, no. [moa?] I think not.

28
00:01:10,000 --> 00:01:12,900
[mc] Then, in these concerts
held at Zepp Namba (Osaka),

29
00:01:13,000 --> 00:01:16,100
did you feel many of the audience
saw BABYMETAL for the first time?

30
00:01:16,200 --> 00:01:17,900
[yui][moa] Yeah. [su] Yes, I did.

31
00:01:18,000 --> 00:01:21,700
[su] So, during the first choruses, the audience
seemed not to know well how to get lively,

32
00:01:21,800 --> 00:01:25,900
but, during the second and third choruses,
more and more audience got lively.

33
00:01:26,000 --> 00:01:27,000
[mc] I see.

34
00:01:27,100 --> 00:01:32,100
[mc] Well,  we invited you
two years and eight months ago for the first time.

35
00:01:32,200 --> 00:01:36,600
[mc] Compared with that time,
I think your situation has completely changed.

36
00:01:36,700 --> 00:01:39,800
[mc] The number of people who know BABYMETAL
has obviously increased, hasn't it?

37
00:01:39,900 --> 00:01:40,500
[bm] (laugh)

38
00:01:40,600 --> 00:01:43,000
[mc] And the number of audience
has incredibly increased.

39
00:01:43,100 --> 00:01:43,700
[su] Yes, it has.

40
00:01:43,800 --> 00:01:46,700
[mc] I mean you've performed
at larger and larger venues.

41
00:01:46,800 --> 00:01:49,800
[mc] Weren't you puzzled at that change?

42
00:01:49,900 --> 00:01:53,800
[su] Let me see.  Actually,
the situation around us has not so changed.

43
00:01:53,900 --> 00:01:54,300
[mc] Oh, really?

44
00:01:54,400 --> 00:01:55,200
[bm] No. [moa?] Not at all.

45
00:01:55,300 --> 00:01:58,500
[su] My friends, etc. support us the same as before.

46
00:01:58,600 --> 00:02:06,300
[su] But, every time when we go abroad,
we find we've got more new fans,

47
00:02:06,400 --> 00:02:10,000
and we get more and more chances
to appear at rather big music festivals.

48
00:02:10,100 --> 00:02:15,100
[su] The music of BABYMETAL
has been becoming more and more popular.

49
00:02:15,200 --> 00:02:17,200
[su] I am glad to feel that actually.

50
00:02:17,300 --> 00:02:24,200
[mc] Well, many overseas big-name Metal musicians
have already known BABYMETAL,

51
00:02:24,300 --> 00:02:27,100
and they say to you
"let's take a photo together", don't they?

52
00:02:27,200 --> 00:02:28,000
[bm] Yes.

53
00:02:28,100 --> 00:02:30,400
[mc] Are you glad for that?

54
00:02:30,500 --> 00:02:32,300
[bm] Yes.  We are glad.

55
00:02:32,400 --> 00:02:35,900
[mc] Whom are you especially glad to meet
among the musicians you have met?

56
00:02:36,000 --> 00:02:38,300
[moa] Well, we met Metallica...
[mc] Ho, ho.

57
00:02:38,400 --> 00:02:41,900
[moa] at SummerSonic Osaka (2013) for the first time,

58
00:02:42,000 --> 00:02:45,700
and, when we met them again later
at an overseas music festival, they remembered us.

59
00:02:45,800 --> 00:02:47,900
[mc] Of course, they remembered you.
[bm] (laugh)

60
00:02:48,000 --> 00:02:48,900
[moa] It was unexpected.

61
00:02:49,000 --> 00:02:51,600
[mc] Ha. Do you have some conversation with them?

62
00:02:51,700 --> 00:02:55,500
[moa] Well, something like "you look fine".
[mc] (laugh)  [yui] (laugh)

63
00:02:55,600 --> 00:03:02,400
[moa] And we've attended
Marilyn Manson's concert in a music festival.

64
00:03:02,500 --> 00:03:09,600
[moa] He never lets anyone come into
his dressing room before his live performances,

65
00:03:09,700 --> 00:03:13,000
but then, he let us come in.
[mc] Oh, he gave you special treatment.

66
00:03:13,100 --> 00:03:16,200
[moa] I was very glad to hear
it was special treatment.

67
00:03:16,300 --> 00:03:19,600
[mc] Yeah, it was delightful.
How was his dressing room?

68
00:03:19,700 --> 00:03:21,000
[moa] Well, it was all black.

69
00:03:21,100 --> 00:03:21,700
[mc] Wow, really?

70
00:03:21,800 --> 00:03:23,000
[moa][su] It was cool.

71
00:03:23,100 --> 00:03:24,700
[mc] What were black there?

72
00:03:24,800 --> 00:03:25,900
[moa] The mirrors...

73
00:03:26,000 --> 00:03:26,700
[mc] Oh, really?
[su] Mirrors?

74
00:03:26,800 --> 00:03:28,800
[yui?] Ah, if they're black, they mirror nothing.
[mc] You mean the walls?

75
00:03:28,900 --> 00:03:29,800
[su] The walls and whatnot were black.

76
00:03:29,900 --> 00:03:31,300
[mc] Was the room furnished specially for him?

77
00:03:31,400 --> 00:03:32,200
[bm] Yes, it was.

78
00:03:32,300 --> 00:03:33,400
[mc] Aha.

79
00:03:33,500 --> 00:03:34,800
[mc] Didn't you feel scared?

80
00:03:34,900 --> 00:03:37,700
[su] A little...
[moa] I felt a little scared.

81
00:03:37,800 --> 00:03:41,500
[mc] Well, which live performance is
the one where you got the biggest ever tension?

82
00:03:43,100 --> 00:03:44,200
[yui] I wonder which one is.

83
00:03:44,300 --> 00:03:45,600
[mc] Don't you get so tense?

84
00:03:45,700 --> 00:03:48,900
[yui] Yes, yes.
We get tense before on stage, really.

85
00:03:49,000 --> 00:03:49,600
[moa?] Yeah.  ???

86
00:03:49,700 --> 00:03:53,800
[mc] Do you get bigger tension
when the audience is larger?

87
00:03:53,900 --> 00:03:54,800
[bm] Er...

88
00:03:54,900 --> 00:04:01,000
[su] We get tenser at radio or TV interviews
like this than at live performances.

89
00:04:01,100 --> 00:04:02,200
[mc] Wow, why?
[moa] Now we are tense.

90
00:04:02,300 --> 00:04:03,400
[yui][su] We are very tense now.

91
00:04:03,500 --> 00:04:04,400
[mc] Why now?

92
00:04:04,500 --> 00:04:06,300
[yui] Because we rarely have
such an opportunity like this.

93
00:04:06,400 --> 00:04:07,200
[mc] Aha, because this is rare.

94
00:04:07,300 --> 00:04:08,500
[moa] Yes.
[yui] Though we are very glad.

95
00:04:08,600 --> 00:04:12,700
[mc] After all, you are already used to
performing at a large venue, aren't you?

96
00:04:12,800 --> 00:04:15,100
[moa] Umm, I don't know whether we are or not.
[yui] Umm.  [su] (laugh)

97
00:04:15,200 --> 00:04:19,800
[mc] Well, you've already visited many countries
to appear at various music festivals.

98
00:04:19,900 --> 00:04:23,800
I think the situations of stages and
the atmospheres of audiences are quite different.

99
00:04:23,900 --> 00:04:28,800
[mc] Would you tell us errors you made
or troubles which you can tell us now?

100
00:04:28,900 --> 00:04:31,600
[moa] Let me see.  Troubles...
[su] We've had many. [yui] Umm.

101
00:04:31,700 --> 00:04:35,600
[moa] We've had various troubles,
and troubles often visit me in particular.

102
00:04:35,700 --> 00:04:36,500
[mc] Ho, ho.

103
00:04:36,600 --> 00:04:40,300
[moa] For example,
the fox mask is blown to me. *3

104
00:04:40,400 --> 00:04:43,900
[moa] The trouble that most often visit me *4
is that my shoe comes off,

105
00:04:44,000 --> 00:04:46,900
or the shoe sole peels off.
[mc] Aha.

106
00:04:47,000 --> 00:04:54,700
[moa] We dance so hard that
my shoes can't withstand and break.

107
00:04:54,800 --> 00:04:56,800
[mc] Does it happen while you are dancing?

108
00:04:56,900 --> 00:05:00,900
[moa] Yes. Sometimes, saying "see you",
I picked up my shoe and exited from the stage.

109
00:05:01,000 --> 00:05:03,200
[mc] Then, you were barefoot
all the time after that, weren't you?

110
00:05:03,300 --> 00:05:05,200
[moa] Yes.  Barefoot.
[mc] Dancing barefoot.

111
00:05:05,300 --> 00:05:08,700
[moa] My feet were small,
so there were few shoes that fitted me.

112
00:05:08,800 --> 00:05:09,400
[mc] I see.

113
00:05:09,500 --> 00:05:10,800
[moa] It is one of the reason.

114
00:05:10,900 --> 00:05:18,000
[mc] Well, Misses Su and Yui, have you had
any astonishing happenings in live performances?

115
00:05:18,100 --> 00:05:20,600
[yui] We have little memory
during our live performances.

116
00:05:20,700 --> 00:05:21,500
[mc] Oh, really?
[su][moa] Yeah.

117
00:05:21,600 --> 00:05:24,500
[mc] Miss SU-METAL, haven't you had
any happening such as forgetting the lyrics?

118
00:05:24,600 --> 00:05:26,600
[su] Ah, I've sung the wrong lyrics.

119
00:05:26,700 --> 00:05:29,900
[su] And, when I excited the audience,

120
00:05:30,000 --> 00:05:34,000
I concentrated on it so much that
I got astonished when the audience reacted.

121
00:05:34,100 --> 00:05:35,500
[mc] Wow, why?
[bm] (laugh)

122
00:05:35,600 --> 00:05:37,400
[mc] Aha, though you excited them by yourself...
[su] Though doing by myself...

123
00:05:37,500 --> 00:05:38,900
[mc] you didn't expect so much reaction.

124
00:05:39,000 --> 00:05:43,300
[su] Yeah. I got astonished at that
and I forgot my next part of the choreography.

125
00:05:43,400 --> 00:05:45,600
[mc] Well, I attended your concert at Zepp Namba.

126
00:05:45,700 --> 00:05:46,600
[bm] Thank you.

127
00:05:46,700 --> 00:05:52,200
[mc] Your dances are accurate to an inch,
accurate like computers.

128
00:05:52,300 --> 00:05:56,500
[mc] Moreover, though you act so hard,
you don't appear to be breathing hard at all.

129
00:05:56,600 --> 00:05:57,700
[moa] Yes, yes.  [su] Umm.

130
00:05:57,800 --> 00:06:00,600
[mc] Do you actually gasp for breath then?

131
00:06:00,700 --> 00:06:02,200
[moa][yui] Yes, we do. [su] Actually.

132
00:06:02,300 --> 00:06:07,300
[mc] Is there any tune in particular
that is physically tough?

133
00:06:07,400 --> 00:06:10,100
[su] Newer tunes have been tougher than older ones.
[yui] (laugh) Yes.

134
00:06:10,200 --> 00:06:11,600
[mc] Oh, really?
[su] Yes, they have.

135
00:06:11,700 --> 00:06:17,700
[mc] Well, when "Megitsune" was released, I thought
its dance seemed exhausting from the introduction.

136
00:06:17,800 --> 00:06:21,600
[moa] It is rather exhausting,
but unexpectedly "BABYMETAL DEATH" is exhausting.

137
00:06:21,700 --> 00:06:23,000
[mc] Wow, really?
[moa] Yes.

138
00:06:23,100 --> 00:06:25,300
[mc] It is the first tune of most concerts, isn't it?
[yui] Yes.

139
00:06:25,400 --> 00:06:27,800
[moa] Because we unexpectedly kept
jumping during the tune...

140
00:06:27,900 --> 00:06:29,400
[mc] Aha, because of jumping.

141
00:06:29,500 --> 00:06:32,300
[moa] it is exhausting.
[yui] It's a warming-up tune for our live performance.

142
00:06:32,400 --> 00:06:33,100
[mc] I see.

143
00:06:33,200 --> 00:06:36,400
[yui] Its choreography contains
the most exciting parts of each tune of ours...

144
00:06:36,500 --> 00:06:37,300
[mc] I see.

145
00:06:37,400 --> 00:06:41,000
[yui] so three of us gasp for breath
from the first tune.

146
00:06:41,100 --> 00:06:42,700
[mc] Like "zee zee haa haa".
[yui] Yes.

147
00:06:42,800 --> 00:06:44,000
[mc] I see.

148
00:06:44,100 --> 00:06:48,900
[mc] Well, I think you've appeared
at many famous overseas Metal music festivals.

149
00:06:49,000 --> 00:06:52,300
[mc] Have you ever surprised
about anything when in overseas?

150
00:06:52,400 --> 00:06:56,200
[moa] Let me see.
I was surprised that foods are big.

151
00:06:56,300 --> 00:06:58,200
[mc] Aha, you mean the sizes of foods, don't you?

152
00:06:58,300 --> 00:06:59,000
[moa] Yes.

153
00:06:59,100 --> 00:07:01,400
[yui] The quantity...
[moa] The quantity of food is big, but I eat it up.

154
00:07:01,500 --> 00:07:02,300
[mc] Do you eat it up?

155
00:07:02,400 --> 00:07:03,500
[moa] Yes, I do.
[bm] They are delicious.

156
00:07:03,600 --> 00:07:05,300
[mc] You appear to eat little.

157
00:07:05,400 --> 00:07:06,700
[moa] No.  I eat much.
[yui] No, no.

158
00:07:06,800 --> 00:07:10,100
[moa] As I use my energy for live performances,
I eat much with that excuse.

159
00:07:10,200 --> 00:07:11,700
[mc] You mean a catering service

160
00:07:11,800 --> 00:07:15,500
or the foods that are prepared in the dressing room
before your live performance, don't you?

161
00:07:15,600 --> 00:07:16,900
[bm] Yes.

162
00:07:17,000 --> 00:07:20,000
[mc] Who eats most among the three of you?

163
00:07:20,100 --> 00:07:21,500
[su] MOAMETAL does.

164
00:07:21,600 --> 00:07:22,400
[yui] Yeah, she does.
[mc] Oh, really.

165
00:07:22,500 --> 00:07:23,900
[moa] I eat awfully.
[su] She eats awfully.

166
00:07:24,000 --> 00:07:26,100
[mc] Aha, because you consume that much
in the live performance.

167
00:07:26,200 --> 00:07:26,900
[moa] You are right.

168
00:07:27,000 --> 00:07:29,000
[mc] What food was (most?) delicious?

169
00:07:29,800 --> 00:07:32,500
[moa] Delicious...
[su] I wonder what was (most?) delicious.

170
00:07:32,600 --> 00:07:33,600
[mc] Among the menus you remember.

171
00:07:33,700 --> 00:07:36,500
[su] Well, meat dishes were delicious.
[moa] Yes.  They're delicious.

172
00:07:36,600 --> 00:07:38,200
[mc] But they are terribly thick, aren't they?

173
00:07:38,300 --> 00:07:39,500
[su][yui] Yes.
[moa] Really.

174
00:07:39,600 --> 00:07:40,800
[mc] I mean steaks and whatnot.
[bm] Yeah.

175
00:07:40,900 --> 00:07:43,000
[mc] I see.

176
00:07:43,100 --> 00:07:45,900
[mc] Well,  I think
you've collaborated with various artists.

177
00:07:46,000 --> 00:07:49,200
[mc] Are there such persons with whom
you like to collaborate in the future?

178
00:07:49,300 --> 00:07:53,500
[yui] Well, in the future...

179
00:07:53,600 --> 00:08:00,300
[yui] We've already met and taken photos
with many Metal musicians,

180
00:08:00,400 --> 00:08:04,700
but we haven't yet taken photos
only with Iron Maiden.

181
00:08:04,800 --> 00:08:05,500
[moa][su] Right.

182
00:08:05,600 --> 00:08:08,000
[mc] It's awesome to say "only Iron Maiden".
[bm] (laugh)

183
00:08:08,100 --> 00:08:11,400
[mc] You mean you've met most of
famous Metal musicians other than them, don't you?

184
00:08:11,500 --> 00:08:12,200
[bm] Yes.  *5

185
00:08:12,300 --> 00:08:14,400
[mc] You like to meet
Iron Maiden somewhere, don't you?

186
00:08:14,500 --> 00:08:15,200
[bm] Yes, we do.

187
00:08:15,300 --> 00:08:18,600
[mc] I think it'll happen
in the not-so-distant future.

188
00:08:18,700 --> 00:08:20,400
[moa] I wonder.  [su] Wow.

189
00:08:20,500 --> 00:08:26,500
[mc] When you met big-name musicians,
how do you introduce yourselves and greet them?

190
00:08:27,400 --> 00:08:28,600
[yui] Uh-huh? [moa] I say "hello".

191
00:08:28,700 --> 00:08:30,900
[mc] You say "hello"?
[bm] Yes.

192
00:08:31,000 --> 00:08:33,900
[mc] Aha, most of them
show relaxing smiles, don't they?

193
00:08:34,000 --> 00:08:37,300
[bm] Yes.
[moa] And we are surprised that they know us.

194
00:08:37,400 --> 00:08:38,100
[mc] Aha.

195
00:08:38,200 --> 00:08:42,100
[yui] Recently they kindly say "BABYMETAL".

196
00:08:42,200 --> 00:08:47,600
[yui] More and more musicians
kindly talk to us before we greet them.

197
00:08:47,700 --> 00:08:49,200
[yui] We are very glad for that.
[mc] Aha.

198
00:08:49,300 --> 00:08:54,500
[mc] Are there such persons whom you felt having
awesome or terrible aura when you met them?

199
00:08:54,600 --> 00:08:56,100
[mc] The word "terrible" is misleading though.

200
00:08:56,200 --> 00:08:56,800
[moa] Let me see...

201
00:08:56,900 --> 00:09:02,400
[yui] The fact is opposite. Though I've thought
they're difficult because of being Metal musicians,

202
00:09:02,500 --> 00:09:06,400
many of them are friendly
and they kindly talk to us.

203
00:09:06,500 --> 00:09:08,900
[mc] Oh, I think that's because they met BABYMETAL.

204
00:09:09,000 --> 00:09:10,000
[bm] (laugh)

205
00:09:10,100 --> 00:09:15,000
[mc] I think they are scary if I come near to them.
I see.

206
00:09:15,100 --> 00:09:20,900
[mc] Well, I think BABYMETAL fans are
looking forward to the release of a new tune.

207
00:09:21,000 --> 00:09:22,700
[mc] What's going on about it?

208
00:09:23,400 --> 00:09:24,300
[su] ONLY THE...

209
00:09:24,400 --> 00:09:26,300
[bm] FOX GOD KNOWS.

210
00:09:27,100 --> 00:09:29,900
[mc] You say "only Kitsune sama knows".
[bm] Yes.  Right.

211
00:09:30,000 --> 00:09:32,500
[su] Because the oracle has not arrived yet...
[mc] Unless the oracle is given...

212
00:09:32,600 --> 00:09:34,400
[yui] We don't know, too.
[moa] Not at all.

213
00:09:34,500 --> 00:09:36,300
[mc] Do you, however, want to perform a new song?

214
00:09:36,400 --> 00:09:37,400
[bm] Yes.  We want to.

215
00:09:37,500 --> 00:09:38,100
[mc] Quite so.

216
00:09:38,200 --> 00:09:42,300
[yui?] But I'm afraid new tunes become tougher.
[su] I'm not sure we can withstand tougher tunes.

217
00:09:42,400 --> 00:09:43,600
[mc] You should build up your strength.

218
00:09:43,700 --> 00:09:44,300
[bm] We think so.

219
00:09:44,400 --> 00:09:45,700
[mc] By eating a lot of steaks, huh?

220
00:09:45,800 --> 00:09:46,700
[bm] Yes.

221
00:09:46,800 --> 00:09:50,500
[mc] We're longing for your new tune
to be released someday.

222
00:09:50,600 --> 00:09:51,200
[moa] Thanks.

223
00:09:51,300 --> 00:09:53,000
[mc] Well, you are on the concert tour now,

224
00:09:53,100 --> 00:09:55,300
and the next concert is
on October 2nd at Zepp Fukuoka. *1

225
00:09:55,400 --> 00:09:58,900
[mc] You perform on October 7th at Zepp Nagoya,
on 8th also at Zepp Nagoya,

226
00:09:59,000 --> 00:10:02,300
and on October 15th & 16th at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo.

227
00:10:02,400 --> 00:10:05,000
[mc] Concerts in Kyushu (Fukuoka) & in Nagoya... *6

228
00:10:05,400 --> 00:10:07,000
[yui] We, as BABYMETAL, go to Kyushu...

229
00:10:07,100 --> 00:10:08,300
[su][yui] for the first time. [moa] Yeah.

230
00:10:08,400 --> 00:10:10,300
[mc] Haven't you ever been there?

231
00:10:10,800 --> 00:10:11,300
[yui] Ah.

232
00:10:11,400 --> 00:10:13,700
[mc] Already been there personally, haven't you?
[su] Yes.  Personally.  [moa][yui] Yes.

233
00:10:13,800 --> 00:10:15,900
[mc] But it's going to be
BABYMETAL's first visit to Kyushu.

234
00:10:16,000 --> 00:10:17,200
[bm] Yes.  Our first visit.

235
00:10:17,300 --> 00:10:18,300
[mc] You're a bit glad, aren't you?

236
00:10:18,400 --> 00:10:19,700
[yui] Yes.  Glad.
[su][moa] Anticipating.  [yui] Really.

237
00:10:19,800 --> 00:10:21,700
[mc] Well, what to eat before and after the concert...

238
00:10:21,800 --> 00:10:22,900
[moa] Good. I'm happy to think about it.

239
00:10:23,000 --> 00:10:24,000
[mc] How about Hakata ramen? *7

240
00:10:24,100 --> 00:10:25,100
[bm] We want to eat it.

241
00:10:25,200 --> 00:10:26,700
[mc] It's a good chance for foodies.

242
00:10:26,800 --> 00:10:33,000
[mc] And you're going to appear in Ozzfest
on November 22nd at Makuhari Messe.

243
00:10:33,100 --> 00:10:35,500
[mc] And on December 12th and 13th...

244
00:10:35,600 --> 00:10:36,100
[su] Yes.

245
00:10:36,200 --> 00:10:40,800
[mc] you're going to hold concerts at Yokohama Arena,
which are the closing of your Japan tour, aren't they?

246
00:10:40,900 --> 00:10:41,600
[bm] Yes, they are.
[mc] I see.

247
00:10:41,700 --> 00:10:44,900
[mc] Two concerts in successive days.
[moa] The closing of the tour.

248
00:10:45,000 --> 00:10:46,400
[mc] (Dear listeners,) please anticipate them.

249
00:10:46,500 --> 00:10:48,900
[mc] And next year, on April 2nd...

250
00:10:49,000 --> 00:10:49,400
[su] Yes.

251
00:10:49,500 --> 00:10:52,900
[mc] in London, at the Wembley Arena (SSE Arena)...

252
00:10:53,000 --> 00:10:54,500
[mc] Do you know the Wembley Arena?

253
00:10:54,600 --> 00:10:57,500
[yui] We had a chance to attend a concert there.
[su][moa] Yes. [mc] Have you seen there?

254
00:10:57,600 --> 00:10:59,800
[su][moa] Yes, we have.
[mc] Whose concert have you attended there?

255
00:10:59,900 --> 00:11:00,900
[bm] 5 Seconds of Summer.

256
00:11:01,000 --> 00:11:04,200
[mc] Oh, I see. You were going to perform there
one of these days, so you went there in advance.

257
00:11:04,300 --> 00:11:05,000
[yui?] No.  Not at all.

258
00:11:05,100 --> 00:11:10,200
[su] It was not yet decided then. We simply thought
it be nice to perform in such a big venue.

259
00:11:10,300 --> 00:11:14,600
[su] We talked about it like a dream,
but it was coming true, so we got surprised.

260
00:11:14,700 --> 00:11:16,300
[mc] This is your solo concert, isn't it?
[bm] Yes.  Our solo concert.

261
00:11:16,400 --> 00:11:18,200
[mc] Not a music festival.
[bm] No.

262
00:11:18,300 --> 00:11:19,800
[mc] What is the seating capacity of the venue?

263
00:11:19,900 --> 00:11:21,900
[mc] Which venues in Japan
are equal in size to Wembley Arena?

264
00:11:22,000 --> 00:11:23,800
[yui?] It was really big.

265
00:11:23,900 --> 00:11:25,500
[moa?] Umm.
[su] I guess it is roughly equal to Yokohama Arena.

266
00:11:25,600 --> 00:11:26,600
[mc] About Yokohama Arena size?

267
00:11:26,700 --> 00:11:28,900
[yui][moa] Ten thousand...
[su] It can accommodate ten thousand of people.

268
00:11:29,000 --> 00:11:31,500
[mc] Oh, it's really Yokohama Arena size.
[su][moa] Yes.

269
00:11:31,600 --> 00:11:33,900
[mc] How do you feel?
You're going to perform in London.

270
00:11:34,000 --> 00:11:37,400
[yui] I can't believe it.
[su] To be honest, I don't feel it really at all.

271
00:11:37,500 --> 00:11:41,400
[su] When we had a chance to appear
in the Reading and Leeds Festivals,

272
00:11:41,500 --> 00:11:44,000
at first, the atmosphere was like an away game.

273
00:11:44,100 --> 00:11:45,500
[mc] You felt isolated from the audience, didn't you?

274
00:11:45,700 --> 00:11:46,400
[su] Yes.  [moa] Very much.

275
00:11:46,500 --> 00:11:51,200
[su] However, as I saw the audience getting
more and more lively, I began to feel like...

276
00:11:51,300 --> 00:11:53,200
[yui] (laugh)
[su] we can get along with the (Wembley?) concert.

277
00:11:53,300 --> 00:11:54,500
[mc] I think you can get along with it.
[moa] Oh, dear.

278
00:11:54,700 --> 00:11:57,900
[mc] I think some Japanese fans may go to London
to attend your concert on April 2nd.

279
00:11:58,000 --> 00:12:00,600
[mc] Well,  are overseas concerts
quite different from those in Japan?

280
00:12:00,700 --> 00:12:03,100
[su] Yes. Peoples' ways of getting lively
are quite different.

281
00:12:03,200 --> 00:12:04,600
[mc] How different are they?

282
00:12:04,700 --> 00:12:08,100
[su] Well, in Japan, we can communicate in Japanese,

283
00:12:08,200 --> 00:12:10,400
and, along with MOAMETAL and YUIMETAL,

284
00:12:10,500 --> 00:12:14,500
many fans sing the interjected chants and dance.

285
00:12:14,600 --> 00:12:21,700
[su] Meanwhile, in overseas countries, many fans
have learned Japanese and sing with SU-METAL.

286
00:12:21,800 --> 00:12:22,300
[mc] Aha.

287
00:12:22,400 --> 00:12:26,400
[su] And, in some countries, many fans like
featuring of the Kami Band sound.

288
00:12:26,500 --> 00:12:32,200
[su] In other countries, many fans like cute tunes
such as "IINE", "Uki Uki Midnight", & "GimiChoko".

289
00:12:32,300 --> 00:12:35,900
[su] It is interesting to know
peoples' ways of getting lively are quite different.

290
00:12:36,000 --> 00:12:39,100
[mc] Well,  in "Gimme Chocolate",
you perform a kind of call & response, don't you?

291
00:12:39,200 --> 00:12:39,700
[bm] Yes.

292
00:12:39,800 --> 00:12:43,200
[mc] Do overseas fans sing
"che-ke-ra chokoreeto" (check-it-out chocolate)?

293
00:12:43,300 --> 00:12:45,100
[su] Yes, they do.
[moa?] They kindly sing it.

294
00:12:45,200 --> 00:12:49,700
[mc] Awesome.
I want to see that once in an overseas concert.

295
00:12:49,800 --> 00:12:51,700
[bm] Thank you. We really hope that.

296
00:12:51,800 --> 00:12:55,600
[mc] Well, your solo concert in London
is scheduled in the next spring.

297
00:12:55,700 --> 00:13:00,600
[mc] Do you have any future goals or dreams
such as how you want to become?

298
00:13:00,700 --> 00:13:05,400
[su] Let me see. Now I feel like
going to various regions and various countries.

299
00:13:05,500 --> 00:13:07,600
[su] And, as our final goal,

300
00:13:07,700 --> 00:13:12,000
we want to be both idols and Metal at once
but also something more than both,

301
00:13:12,100 --> 00:13:15,800
that is, we want to create
a new genre called "BABYMETAL".

302
00:13:15,900 --> 00:13:20,700
[su] And I think all we have to do is
to go on the way that we believe in.

303
00:13:20,800 --> 00:13:21,500
[mc] I understand.

304
00:13:21,600 --> 00:13:25,100
[mc] You are unique artists that
have never been in the music scene,

305
00:13:25,200 --> 00:13:27,500
so I think you're really going on such a way now.

306
00:13:27,600 --> 00:13:29,200
[mc] And, when I go to your concert, I find,

307
00:13:29,300 --> 00:13:32,600
if little girls do their hair in twintails
and wear black clothes,

308
00:13:32,700 --> 00:13:34,700
they all look like BABYMETAL.
[bm] (laugh)

309
00:13:34,800 --> 00:13:36,900
[mc] There were many such cosplay girls
in the venue yesterday.

310
00:13:37,000 --> 00:13:39,400
[yui] I was glad to see them during the concert.
[su] I am glad for that.

311
00:13:39,500 --> 00:13:42,200
[mc] In the future, followers of BABAYMETAL...
[su] Wow.  [moa] Dear.

312
00:13:42,300 --> 00:13:46,500
[mc] I expect many followers of you will come.
Keep up the good work from now on.

313
00:13:46,600 --> 00:13:48,200
[bm] Thank you.

314
00:13:48,300 --> 00:13:51,100
[mc] Then, we'll play one more BABYMETAL's tune.

315
00:13:51,200 --> 00:13:53,000
[mc] I'd ask BABYMETAL to introduce the tune.

316
00:13:53,100 --> 00:13:55,400
[su] Please listen to BABYMETAL's ...

317
00:13:55,500 --> 00:13:57,300
[bm] "Road of Resistance"

318
00:13:57,400 --> 00:13:58,500
[mc] REDNIQS by Hiroaki ASAI.

319
00:13:58,600 --> 00:14:02,000
[mc] This part has been brought with BABYMETAL.
Thank you (for coming).

320
00:14:02,100 --> 00:14:04,000
[bm] Thank you (for listening).

321
00:14:04,100 --> 00:14:04,900
[su] See you!

322
00:14:05,000 --> 00:14:06,000
[yui][moa] See you!
