Prolog to AKATSUKI 2

Included in "LIVE - LEGEND 1999 & 1997 APOCALYPSE" (released on 2014 Oct. 29th),

Prologue to "AKATSUKI"   in Legend "1999"

Higher, more higher, up to reaching to heaven, and in order to go beside the god.
Aiming for even higher stages, people offered up prayers to the god.
When the crimson moon rode in the jet-black darkness, receiving the revelation from the god,
learning she would be finally reborn to a goddess,
SU-METAL was fighting with the mental conflict inside herself.
However, the time of fate is drawing nearer and nearer.
The way that leads to heaven was already opened.

Prologue to "AKATSUKI"   in Legend "1997"

In order to defend the soul of the Metal, in exchange for her own life,
SU-METAL fought.
Before long, SU-METAL's soul became the crimson flame,
and dyed the sky crimson.
However, as the distant stars go out,
the end of life is the law of nature.
Now the crimson moon is burning out with SU-METAL.

Notes

  1. There is some jointed Tower of Babel in the picture. And two stories are mixed strangely: Ancient people in the Bible tried to build the tower that reaches to heaven to show their own power, and real Sumerian people built high ziggurat dedicated to their god. Neither wanted to go up beside god.
  2. Since "umare-kawaru" = "born" + "change" and "-- e to" = "to ---", simpler "changed to a goddess" may be better, while "Reborn as a goddess" is suitable for "kami (megami) toshite umarekawaru".
  3. The narrator says "koto o shiri" but the middle "o" is missing on the screen. Probably the narrator is right.
  4. I translate "kattoo to tatakau" literally to "fighting with the conflict", but can't understand well what it means.
  5. "--- to hikikae ni" (= in exchange for ---) sounds strange here. Probably 'he' wanted to mean "--- o gisei ni shite" (= by the sacrifice of ---) or something.
  6. This "kotowari" means "logos" of the ancient philosophies rather than mere "physical laws" of the world. I drop "kono yo no" (= of this world).
  7. "Burning on" may be more natural, but I take "burning out" since "yuku" (iku) sometimes means "disappear" or "die" like English "go".

  2. Well...

I had really wanted to know what the back-story they presented for "Akatsuki - Unfinished Version" was...

As I said in my comments on Prologue to BABYMETAL DEATH - Whatever reality the "Metal Resistance" is taking place in is not a happy place (obviously). The prologue for "A-UV" from "Legend 1999" pretty much proves it. It also explains why Su-Metal gave it such an emotional delivery.

    Damn... T_T
